Creating the ultimate experience by mixing and pairing international street food with BBQ, beats, art and drinks... That's the philosophy of Blend By RAUW, a brand new contemporary restaurant that recently opened in Hasselt, Belgium. This is the owners second venue following on from their first successful restaurant called RAUW.
In this beautiful building of 350 square metres, with cocktail bar and large terrace on the waterfront, they focus on mixing different dining styles from all over the world. Blend by RAUW works with an impressive open plan BBQ kitchen and they have spared no effort to treat their guests to a breathtaking interior. At Blend they provide a distinct dining experience that brings food, music and atmosphere together in a unique way.
“What was very important to me was providing a complete experience in our new restaurant. That means snacks, cocktails and food all together in one location good for a whole evening of fun.“ explains Fabio from Blend by RAUW.
“An important element of this total experience is of course music. We were looking for a reliable, versatile sound system that can provide every element of our restaurant with matching beats.“
This was done in collaboration with AUDAC Partner, Pro Gear, who ensured that the restaurant was equipped with a complete AUDAC sound system. An M2 digital audio matrix is installed, which ensures that the various zones are provided with matching music. The XMP44 audio player was chosen as the music source; this can be equipped with 4 different source modules. Thanks to the NMP40 Audio Streaming Sourcecon™ Module and the MMP40 media player & recorder module, the team can easily switch between streaming services such as Spotify or Soundtrack Your Brand and playing music on a USB stick.
In the largest room, where the DJ booth is located, a combination of VEXO compact high-power speakers and ATEO design wall-mounted speakers have been chosen. Using the BASO compact subwoofer cabinets, it is easy to switch between pleasant background music during dinner and a higher impact sound later in the evening. Both the cocktail bar, the dining room and the tables around the open kitchen are equipped with ATEO Wall speakers that blend seamlessly with the restaurant's street-style decor.
In order to provide the sound system with sufficient power, a combination of PMQ and SMQ 4-channel amplifiers was chosen. To control the system, the team can use the mobile app AUDAC Touch™ or one of the wall panels installed in the restaurant. Both provide quick and easy access to volume control, source selection and much more.
With the help of this AUDAC installation, Blend by RAUW has succeeded in creating a special atmosphere that harmonises beautifully with the unique mix of dishes served by the restaurant.
